God Is Your Supply
The scriptures tell us one of the greatest truths ever given to humanity:
“God is your supply.”
Everything that belongs to you by divine right can be released through your spoken word — but only if you have perfect faith in what you speak.
As Isaiah said, “My word shall not return unto me void, but shall accomplish that where it is sent.”
Our thoughts and words are a vibratory force, constantly molding our health, our bodies, and our financial affairs.
The Woman Who Needed $3,000
A woman once came to Shinn in despair — she was being sued for three thousand dollars, with the deadline just days away.
Shinn told her, “God is your supply. For every demand, there is a supply waiting to be claimed.”
She “spoke the word” for the woman, giving thanks that the money would come in the right way and at the right time.
The woman’s job was to have perfect faith — and act like it.
When the fifteenth came with no money, panic struck. Shinn told her,
“It’s Saturday — they won’t sue you today. Act rich. Show perfect faith that the money will arrive by Monday.”
At lunch that day, Shinn said,
“This is no time to economize. Order an expensive luncheon. Act as if you’ve already received the three thousand dollars.”
The next morning, the woman’s cousin unexpectedly visited. As he left, he asked, “How are your finances?”
When she told him the truth, he said, “I’ll give you three thousand dollars on the first of the month.”
But the lawsuit was due the next day — not the first.
Shinn continued to “treat,” affirming:
“Spirit is never too late. I give thanks she has received the money on the invisible plane and that it manifests on time.”
The next morning, her cousin called: “Come to my office today — I’ll give you the money.”
By afternoon, she had the $3,000 in her account.
You Cannot Prepare for Failure and Expect Success
This story reveals a key law: you cannot prepare for failure and expect success.
If you ask for abundance but secretly plan for lack, you’ll get exactly what you prepared for.
A man once asked Shinn to help him have a debt forgiven — but he spent all his time rehearsing what he’d say if he couldn’t pay it. His thoughts of failure canceled her words of faith.
He should have seen himself paying the debt, not failing to pay it.
Acting “As If” — The Woman and the Blankets
Another woman needed an apartment in New York during a severe housing shortage. Friends pitied her, saying, “Isn’t it unlucky? You’ll have to live in a hotel.”
But she replied,
“You needn’t feel sorry for me. I’m Superwoman — I’ll get an apartment.”
She affirmed:
“Infinite Spirit, open the way for the right apartment.”
When doubt crept in — the voice of reason whispering, “Don’t buy blankets; what if you don’t get the apartment?” — she silenced it:
“I’ll dig my ditches by buying the blankets.”
She acted as if she already had the apartment.
And soon, she did — chosen miraculously over hundreds of applicants.
Her faith in action was the key.
The Darkest Before the Dawn
Getting into the spiritual “swing” isn’t always easy. Doubt and fear rise from the subconscious — the “army of the aliens” that must be defeated.
It often feels darkest before the dawn because your new truth challenges old beliefs.
That’s when you must stand firm, repeating affirmations of truth and giving thanks as though your good has already appeared.
“Before ye call, I shall answer.”
Every good and perfect gift is already yours — simply awaiting recognition.
Hold the Vision
You can only receive what you can see yourself receiving.
The children of Israel were told they could have all the land they could see — and the same applies to us.
You only possess the land that exists within your mental vision.
Every great accomplishment has been born from someone who held the vision, even when apparent failure loomed.
The spiritually awake person remains undisturbed by appearances, rejoicing while still in captivity, knowing the end is already accomplished.
So hold the vision of your journey’s end. See yourself in possession of what you’ve already received on the unseen plane — whether it’s health, love, prosperity, or purpose.
God Is Never Too Late
Another story: a man needed to raise fifty thousand dollars fast. Banks had refused him; investors vanished.
Shinn said, “You lost your temper, and therefore your power. You can control any situation if you first control yourself.”
She told him,
“Go back to the bank. I’ll treat.”
Her treatment:
“You are identified in love with everyone connected with the bank. Let the divine idea come out of this situation.”
He protested — “Impossible! Tomorrow’s the deadline. It’s too late.”
She replied,
“God doesn’t need any time and is never too late. With Him, all things are possible.”
The next day, he arrived at the bank fifteen minutes before closing — and walked out with the full amount.
Infinite Spirit was right on time.
The Power of Shared Vision
The man couldn’t have demonstrated alone — he needed someone to hold the vision for him.
This is what one person can do for another. Jesus taught:
“If two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them.”
We often get too close to our own problems and drown in emotion. A friend or healer, unentangled, can hold the faith for you.
As one wise observer said:
“No man can fail if one person sees him successful.”
Many a great person owed their success to someone — a friend, a spouse, or a mentor — who simply believed without wavering in the perfect pattern.
Prosperity begins not with striving — but with speaking, believing, and acting as if you already possess the wealth that is rightfully yours.
